Red Deer offers 2 malls, plus many shopping centers, countless restaurants, & a lively nightlife. The Enmax Centrium is a great place to check out big concerts & Rebel’s hockey games. The Collicutt, Red Deer’s multi-million dollar sports activity centre offers a wide variety of recreational activities. In the summer, the city’s downtown becomes alive with Farmers markets, Festivals, and live music.
The city is not far from Beautiful getaways like the Rocky Mountains, offering fabulous skiing in the winter and camping in the summer. Sylvan Lake is another popular and fun place in the summer, about a 20 minute drive from Red Deer.
Red Deer offers city transit via buses which operate from a bus station in Red Deer’s downtown core (only about a block away from Academy).
